A number of requests have been received from Juvenile teams to move their scheduled game from 16/17th April (Easter weekend) to a Tuesday/Thursday night. These days are traditionally Adult playing days and the Board cannot guarantee a suitable referee on either of these days as we have a minimum of 5 Adult divisions scheduled on both days.
Going forward the following will apply:
Requests for a Juvenile "refix" will only be considered provided it does not clash with an Adult playing day (Tuesday/Thursday).
More importantly, a Juvenile "Refix" will only be considered if it is within a "Camogie Week".
The Camogie week starts on a Saturday and continues until the following Friday. For example, Juvenile Camogie Fixtures for 16th/17th April (Week 4 on the attached) can be played until Friday 22nd April or moved to another Camogie week.
When a Juvenile game is being "Refixed" (during a Camogie week), teams should agree on a NON-Adult Night (Tues/Thurs) as the Board will not have sufficient Referees to cover Adult/Juv on the same night.
The Board will NOT sanction a camogie game during an LGFA week.
Clubs are urged to play on the scheduled date, if at all possible, as moving games back to a later date is likely to cause a backlog towards the end of the season and teams run the risk of not being able to conclude their league schedule before the season finishes on 12th June. Any un-played games will be made "null and void".
Is mise le meas.
