Child Protection policy

The club is excited to announce the launch of our new Child Protection Website.

Providing a single place for all children, guardians and coaches alike to find information on policies, contacts and reporting procedures provides better clarity and protection for our younger members and their families.

A few details that we would ask everyone to read carefully:

The new site contains our new online policy, which covers the use of social media and communications tools. This policy has been approved by the executive committee on Tuesday 29th March 2022 and it is expected that all members and guardians of juvenile members familiarise themselves fully.

The new site clearly outlines the role of the children's officer and our designated liaison person as well as the process for reporting any issues or concerns. These roles are often confused and people assume that they have nowhere to go if they don't want a formal investigation, which is not the case. Please review the "Contacts and Reporting" section to familiarise yourself with our roles and how we can help when it is needed.

A new vetting system will be launched over the next few days which will provide much needed visibility to the club on coaches' Garda vetting status. We will announce this separately, once launched.

The Erin's Isle main club website has been dysfunctional for a while now. A new site will launch over the next few days and will provide a much needed landing page that will direct people to contacts, pitch maps, fixtures, results and news.

You can access the new site at https://childprotection.erinsislegaa.com

Thank you for you support and if you find any bugs or problems please feel free to let Niall know at childrensofficer.erinsisle.dublin@gaa.ie
