We are delighted to announce that YAP Ireland are once again recruiting advocates in your area to provide support to young people and families in need. Due to your position within the community, we are graciously asking if you could circulate the attached poster for display to your members.
The role of the advocate requires working within the YAP strengths-based model, to provide 1:1 support for vulnerable young people and their families and to support them in their home and local communities so that they can achieve their goals. We particularly want to encourage those with relevant life experience to apply as they do not need a qualification and will be fully trained in the YAP model if successful.
Working as an advocate offers paid employment, high job satisfaction and an excellent opportunity to develop highly transferable skills. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community while receiving high quality training and supervision.
